Just before the lunch, Meelik Gornoi from Skype took the stage on the second day of Spark.me conference which is taking place in Montenegro. Gornoi opened up his lecture by saying that although Skype is now a decade old, they are still fairly young therefore things are still being managed in a startup-like way.
Aaron Levie, the 27-year-old founder and CEO of cloud storage startup Box, will join the Web Summit lineup this year. Levie started Box when he was just 19, quitting college to pursue the venture that has since raised nearly $500m and is rumored to IPO in 2014. Levie will also judge the finals of the Summit’s startup event PITCH, which has a prize fund of €500,000.
Vox.io, web browser based VoIP service from Slovenia just gave Netocratic an exclusive preview of their Vox.io iPhone app that will launch by the end of the September. From within the app, you can make calls to your Vox.io contacts or to your phone contacts for a small fee.
The app organizes your contacts into two groups: All and Online. The All list will show all of your phone and Vox.io contacts, while Online list shows only those contacts that are online with Vox.io at the moment.
