The app was developed by the Croatian company Infinum, already renowned for their work on a number of banking apps, including Erste mBanking. AppNet Rhino, the first-to-market iPhone App.Net client is getting a significant update during the next week. The most significant feature is iPad support which now makes AppNet Rhino the first iPhone and iPad app for App.Net! It’s always nice when a startup not only succeeds but also finds a new business model, and that’s exactly what happened with Score Alarm, a Croatian iPhone and Android app that has been downloaded 10,000 times, 2-3,000 paid on the iTunes App Store, and then licensed to one of the biggest betting operations in the country - the Croatian national lottery!
Croatian companies Planet 1107 and Twinkle Tap have joined forces to develop and release the first dedicated iPhone app for the increasingly popular paid social network App.net. Named Rhino, the fast and quite pretty app has been in the iTunes App Store since morning, earning a 4+ score and many downloads from App.net's faithful users that have paid $50 per person.
Crowdspottr is a free mobile app for the iPhone and Android that discovers popular events based on the activity of your Facebook and Foursquare friends. When we talk about location networks, the first thing that comes to mind are Foursquare and Gowalla. For the last several months, Foursquare and its 10 million users left Gowalla in the thus and thus became the leading location sharing application.
Don’t you think it’s kind of funny (or should I say – silly) that all those location services can’t tell you when or what is happening based on your location? What use do you have from them if they can’t provide you with such information? Crowdspottr wants to change that, getting you more value from location social networks.
Attending Product Management Festival 2017 (PMF 2017) in Zurich, Switzerland, and meeting amazing product professionals inspired me to go deeper into six important areas that are often neglected or entirely overlooked by product leaders.
At their 10th anniversary, the Slovenian high-tech company Zemanta d.o.o. announced that it was entirely acquired by Outbrain from the US, the world’s largest premium content discovery platform. The sum that Outbrain paid for Zemanta’s technology, products and team remains a business secret, and Zemanta’s co-founders Andraž Tori and Boštjan Špetič will join Outbrain. After becoming part of Outbrain Zemanta’s platform will continue to operate as a standalone product.
