Bulgarian mobile app development platform Telerik is is organizing its first ever European hackathon, taking place October 17-19, 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Developers and tech enthusiasts from across the continent will have 48 hours to build the next revolutionary mobile app using the company’s end-to-end platform.
On July 23rd Eleven held its sixth Demo Day at the fully packed Betahaus Sofia. An event usually reserved for cherry picked mentors, prominent investors and a few Eleven graduates, this Demo Day was different. In front of almost 200 guests, the nine graduating startups coming from five countries gave their pitch presentations to a far bigger crowd than past Eleven startups had done so.
Eleven Accelerator Venture Fund has just improved its investment terms. The accelerator keeps investing 100.000 euros in early-stage startups from CEE and beyond but this time under upgraded conditions of 25,000 euros for 8% equity plus 75,000 euros as a convertible note, available to startups after the first month of the accelerator program.
The Bulgarian LAUNCHub Seed Fund marks the beginning of the year with 10 new investments – 9 new companies and one follow-on in portfolio member EdHub. The latest investment decision followed the fourth Long Weekend Event held during November 28 – December 1, 2013, which was the culmination point of the Fund’s selection process. During four days of intensive pitching, coaching and mentoring, 14 teams competed to receive seed investment funding of up to 200K Euro.

The LAUNCHub seed fund announces the opening the fourth application call for financing of digital startup companies. All committed teams from South-East Europe (SEE) developing future disruptive technologies in the Digital Tech Sector are encouraged to apply. The application deadline ends November 3, 2013.

LAUNCHub, Bulgarian 9 million euro seed fund, kicked off the business season early in September with five new companies on board. Greek codebender together with Bulgarian StatAce, EdHub, Play for Job, Cloudrunner are the newcomers opening the season. In addition to these five investments, the fund also completed two follow-on investments in two of its portfolio companies Dragon Inside and Deed in the beginning of the month.
First Startup Mixer Sofia which is organized by Eleven's third batch startups, will take place on Thursday 8th August at The Roof by Eleven. Young students and professionals who apply for the event, will have an opportunity to talk to some of the regions most interesting startups which are in the process of hiring at the moment.
