Bulgarian venture fund LAUNCHub just announced the 14 shortlisted technology startups who will attend the Long Weekend Event next week in Zagreb and receive intensivetraining with coaches and mentors, to polish their final pitches for the finale on July 5, when the winners in the Long Weekend to be offered investment of up to 200 K Euro.
ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator is a 3-month program to support startups, led by one of the largest media corporations in Europe, ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group. IT provides promising startups with seed funding, mentoring, office space, and access to investors and strategic partners. Although media and entertainment focused startups may have most use of the programme and connections of the Media Group, the call is open to startups from every segment – both B2C and B2B.
June 18, 2014 was the day when we were honoured to be a part of Startup Yard’s Demo Day in Czech National Library of Technology in Prague, and witnessed the birth of a new age entrepreneurship along with its contagious desire for changing the world. Startup Wise Guys, Estonia-based B2B accelerator, just announced their partnership with Venture Capital firm Notion Capital, creating a unique team working with early stage business tech oriented startups. Notion Capital is to provide additional funding of at least €50k for the best teams, but also mentorship and follow-up support for the incoming startup cohort. The application process for the Startup Wise Guys program is open until June 3, and it seems like startups have all the more reason to apply.
A group of entrepreneurs and investors gathered around Slovenian Silicon Gardens startup initiative launched Silicon Gardens Fund – a micro fund focused on investing in early stage startups coming from Slovenia and the broader region. The Fund’s main investors are entrepreneurs from the region.
