Startup Week is the first European startup festival that will take place in Vienna, Austria between 3rd and 7th of October 2011. According to the organizers, Startup Week gather over 100 investors, 70 speakers, 50 startups and over one thousand guests! Of course, Netocratic will act as a media partner and we’ll cover the entire festival for you.
The most innovative startups from Germany, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe will have a chance to present their projects to more than 100 business angels and venture capitalists.
The festival is divided into two parts; Startup Days that will take up the first two days of the festival, and Conference Days that make the second half. During the Startup Days, all of the startups will have a chance to apply for workshops and only Top 10 will have a chance to pitch their projects and ideas on the TechCrunch Day, on October 6th.
Conference Days is the congress part of the festival, where over 40 speakers already confirmed their talks. Among them visitors will get a change to listen to Reshma Sohoni of Seedcampa (with whom we have an interview over at Netokracija) and Stefan Glänzer, co-founder of Rebate Networks, company that invested in over 30 groupon clones all over the world. TechCrunch Day will take place at Thursday, October 6th and it will be moderated by Mike Butcher. If you attended Mini Seedcamp in Ljubljana then you’ve probably had a chance to meet Mike.
