Startup Mixer Sofia: Speed-Dating For Startups And Professionals

First Startup Mixer Sofia which is organized by Eleven’s third batch of startups, will take place on Thursday 8th August at The Roof by Eleven. Young students and professionals who apply for the event, will have an opportunity to talk to some of the regions most interesting startups which are in the process of hiring at the moment.

Chief organizer, Aleksandar Gvozden from CaseTrek told Netocratic that Startup Mixer Sofia is inspired by other similar events such as Startup Mixer which was organized in Zagreb. He pointed out that speed-dating will provide students and professionals with an opportunity to talk to a large number of startups while getting to know the story of regional entrepreneurs and companies.

He added that the general thought behind Startup Mixer Sofia is to hold these events on monthly basis and to further connect people interested in working at startups with companies.

We expect at least two or three professionals and startups will connect during the first Startup Mixer Sofia.

There are always a lot of good professionals out there, Aleksandar continues, but the fear of working in a startup is still present. Experienced programmers are usually the ones who are hardest to employ as many are looking to get a job at a bigger company or start working on their own startup. Therefore, Startup Mixer Sofia will give them a chance to see how it’s like to work for a startup and to be a part of the core team.
