The Czech social media analytics giant Socialbakers has managed to implement information on local Facebook fans in just 9 days since Facebook released the information on December 21st. Socialbakers’ new Distribution of Fans let you see fans by country for both global and regional brands.
Socialbakers also recently acquired the Split-based social media ads company Socialbrando for an undisclosed sum.
Local Fans of Global Pages
Socialbakers’ CEO Jan Rezab made a point of stating that they are the first company to implement the new information on local Facebook fans. Individual Facebook fan pages such as Coca Cola’s now show the top 45 countries from where fans come from. The mentioned bottled drink for example has over 22 percent of its fans in the United States, with 3 of the next 4 top countries being in Latin America.
Social media marketeers will be able to use the new feature to follow competitor’s Facebook fan page distribution, looking at where other brands are getting their fans. The Distribution of Fans makes even the free Socialbakers website a great competitive intelligence tool in the ever growing industry of Facebook and social media marketing.
