Even though we have a bunch of summer startup events ahead of us, it is not a bad idea to start preparing for Pioneers Festival as well! It will be held at 30-31 October in Vienna, but the startups already have a chance to apply for a challenge and get a chance to pitch to investors, international media, corporations, future customers, experts and mentors!
With the startup competition “Pioneers Challenge”, Pioneers, the organizers of Pioneers Festival, are looking for the leading software and hardware startups in the fields of web, mobile, health, aerospace, AI, robotics and energy that are not older than three years and haven’t raised more than € 1 million in external funding yet. A jury of experts will screen all applications and out of those the top 50 startups that will get invited to join Pioneers Festival. On 29 October they have the chance to pitch their business idea to an exclusive environment and meet the most important European investors. The best eight teams will make it to the finals and thereby get the chance to present their startup at the Festival Days in front of all 2,500 festival participants, including important investors, international media, corporates, potential future customers and many more.
The centerpieces of the festival are entrepreneurs and creators of the future, which is why industry leaders like Christopher Ahlberg, Founder and CEO of Recorded Future, Sitar Teli, Investor at Connect Ventures, Andy Johns, Growth Expert at Quora, Twitter and Facebook and Antony Evans, Founder of the Kickstarter Project “Glowing Plant” will come and join Pioneers Festival as speakers.
They are going to inspire and educate 2,500 participants on two stages, the Academy and the Arena: Within the Arena new topics and trends will be discussed in an entertaining setting where the audience will get inspired and experience technological innovations. In addition to dynamic, known public figures, they will experience product launches and the newest exponential technologies. Furthermore, the Arena will be hosting the big finale of the Pioneers Challenge. The second stage, the Academy, is especially designed for startups and those who are eager to pick up in-depth expertise in entrepreneurship. There the festival’s educational focus will teach the audience hands-on skills and know-how, which will boost every single startup to the next level.
So, going to Vienna?
