Paymill, an innovative online payment service provider who recently expanded to Croatia, introduced their services to audience during the RockPaperStartups conference which was held in Rijeka last week. The company is focused on startups and other small companies as often they are the ones who don’t want to be bothered with too much bureaucracy and paperwork and this is exactly what Paymill has to offer.

The service is specialized in online card payments while the company itself was founded last year in Germany. Since then, they’ve expanded their service to 39 European countries, Croatia being the last one in the row. Amer Alimanovic, engineer at Paymill told the attendees that the market is saturated with a variety of online payment solutions, non of which are transparent enough or able to provide their users with up-to-date solutions interwined with modern web standards.

Motivated to disrupt this market with their product, Paymill created a unique solution which incorporates latest developing and safety standards and charges only 2.95% per transaction. No initial fees, no monthly fees, no hidden costs.

Alimanovic pointed of four steps of integration Paymill offers to it’s clients:

  1. Registration – in order to obtain the API’s, you must create a free merchant account .
  2. Integration type – there are three types of integration: payment form, shopping plug-in and Paybutton which is still in Beta.
  3. Testing  – you can test out different credit cards and troubleshoot the service.
  4. Announcement – final tests are carried out and the API is changed from testing to active.

Because Paymill was just a startup last year, they are very eager to provide fellow startupers with the best online payment solution which they can incorporate into their startups. They are still a relatively small company, therefore they are much more focused on small business and are much more approachable.
