The goal of the Global Impact Competitions (GIC) is to find projects that can positively impact the lives of people living in the specific regions, and applications are now open for projects from the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

The winner will receive a sponsorship worth USD 30.000 to participate in the Graduate Studies Program (GSP) in Summer 2015, covering all tuition and lodging costs. GSP is the flagship program of the Singularity University (SU), an organization based at the NASA Research Park, in the heart of Silicon Valley, California.

A Different Kind Of Program

This is an intensive 10 week long training program, which includes demanding courses, trips to the biggest enterprises in Silicon Valley like Facebook, NASA, Google, Cisco, and visits to the most exciting startups in the area.

By the end of the program projects frequently become real businesses and enter SU Labs, the University’s own business incubator.

The finalists will present their projects at the Global Impact Competition CEE finals, in front of a selected jury comprising SU Faculty and regional executives of major corporations. The finals will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on the 9th of April 2015.

Applications are open until 8th of March 2015.
