Summer edition of LeWeb, largest European Internet conference, will be held in London, on the 5th and the 6th of June. This year, along with media like su CNN, The Wall Street Journal or The Guardian, we are proud to see that the media partner of the conference is Netrocratic as well!
That means that we will report straight from the interesting lectures and panels, which are focusing on the New Sharing Economy. Thought leaders and key players are shaping the sharing movement, like Airbnb, Etsy or TaskRabbit, and they will join the stage.
This movement represents a major economic, social and cultural shift and is redefining the ways goods and services are exchanged, valued and created. The conference will explore the economics of the sharing economy movement and why it might mean the end of consumerism, as we know it. Some of the totally new players will launch at LeWeb London, such as Lily Cole, Chris Chabot and Julien Smith.
The sharing economy is entirely based on new communities forming with new values and LeWeb London will bring the most breakthrough communities to the stage. For example, Burning Man gathers 50,000 people in the desert with no money and no marketing allowed! For established industries, the sharing marketplace – with rapidly shifting social, cultural and technological disruptions – is forcing them to respond too.
So, we hope to have a better understanding of the New Sharing Economy, the key players and best practices in the space – and we will share our knowledge. Stay tuned!
