Justin Wilcox, entrepreneur and lean startup mentor, will be visiting Croatia, Zagreb, where he will hold two workshops and a hackathon organized by The Founder Institute. We talked to him about those events, but also about his success, previous failures, lean startup principles and customer development. You can hear all about it in a video interview further down.
So, Justin talked a bit more about his entrepreneurial beginnings – he had left his job at Microsoft so he could work on his startup. Unfortunately that startup wasn’t successful, but he learned a lot from the mistakes made along the way and about lean startup principles. He also told us a bit more about his experiences, gave some advice for entrepreneurs, named the biggest mistakes lean startups make, what they can learn from his blog, dedicated to the customer development, as well as the events he is preparing with The Founder Institute.
As you could hear at the end of the video, Justin will hold three events. The first one, Customer Development 101 Workshop, will take place on October 31st, when he will guide local aspiring entrepreneurs through some exercises geared towards helping them define their target market and identifying who and where their customers actually are. The next one is a hackathon that will be held on November 9th, and the last one is a workshop named Lean Startup Model that will tell a bit more about identifying the “Best Customers” – how and where to find them? How to interview them? What do you do with their answers? If you want to know more about those topics, Justin will help you out!
