Google+ and Saatchi Gallery Team up to Celebrate Social And Art

Google has teamed up with Saatchi Gallery and started the Motion Photography Prize competition, using Motion as the free tool for anyone’s photography animation. As Saatchi Gallery and Google+ have recognized the potential of this new technology, it will be extremely interesting to see this match of social and art forming a celebration of the new creative art form.

GoogleSaatchiCompLeadkkkIf you are interested in photography, you might like the fact that Google  teamed up with Saatchi Gallery and started the Motion Photography Prize competition, using Motion as the free tool for anyone’s photography animation.

All the photography professionals and enthusiasts have been invited to submit their photographs until April 1, and choose among the 6 categories. Landscape, Lifestyle, Action and Night are the first 4 categories after which there’ll be others presented on a daily basis, along with the finalists of each category. The finalists will be chosen by Baz Luhrmann (filmmaker), Cindy Sherman (photographer) and Shezad Dawood (artist).

London’s Saatch Gallery will host an exhibition during which the finalists will have their chance to show their entries, competing to win the trip with the photographer or filmmaker.

The photographers from all over the world are invited to enter the competition via their Google+ as well as to check more information on the Saatchi Gallery’s web.

As Saatchi Gallery and Google+ have recognized the potential of this new technology, it will be extremely interesting to see this match of social and artistic forming a celebration of the new creative art form. Will this be a new social trend to stay focused on, or is this an announcement of modern art going digital? Let’s wait and see.

US Outbrain acquires Slovenian Zemanta

At their 10th anniversary, the Slovenian high-tech company Zemanta d.o.o. announced that it was entirely acquired by Outbrain from the US, the world’s largest premium content discovery platform.
