Eventyard: Bulgarian Startup Wants to Invade Europe and Completely Change Event Management!

EventyardSo, it’s already late Saturday afternoon and you still don’t know where and how you will spend the following evening? Eventyard is a Bulgarian startup, which could help you with your troubles. In short, it helps you discover events you love, according to your interests and your location.

Aleksandra Nikolova, co-founder of Eventyard, says that the idea for this startup came from one of the founders a few years ago. He was abroad and didn’t know where to go to, so he got very frustrated and suddenly the idea came up! He decided to work on his idea later on, and that’s how Eventyard was born. So, if you love to travel a lot, like founders of Eventyard, or you are an event organizer, you might love this service. Aleksandra states:

We are building the network with targeting young people between 18 and 35 years, who travel a lot and are looking for entertaining events, like parties and other indie events. Also, event organizers who do not have big budgets for advertising can now have the opportunity to find new audience.

Eventyard Team Wants to Invade European Market

While we talk about event management, we should mention that Eventyard wants to take it to a whole different level while facilitating both users and event organizers. Team’s major expectation is to expand from Bulgarian market and to enter the whole European market, or as they hope, invade the whole Europe! Of course, there is a long way before that, especially when people are already using other tools to announce and find events, for example, Facebook events. But Aleksandra says:

We are not trying to beat Facebook – Facebook is our partner here. People will comprehend that Eventyard is the ultimate place for events, because we will get all the parties, indie events there; and step by step we will include all the events happening in Europe. If you think wisely, Facebook is a platform for social connections and not for events. They are just an add-on there. Eventyard is not just an add-on, but precise service many people love and use yet.

Eventyard

Since there are many startups trying to break through these days, we wanted to know more about the experience from Eventyard founders. As we suspected, they immediately said that creating a startup is one of the most difficult things they have done so far. Aleksandra says that, first of all, you have to gather the perfect team – people who are willing to quit their jobs and to risk almost everything just for an idea. They have to be one hundred percent sure and persuaded that the idea will become lucrative business. But when this step is fulfilled, everything happens slightly and steadily. Aleksandra points out their main advantages:

The team is a perfect match of people with years of experience in different fields: Kiril and Oleg worked for a famous Bulgarian TV show as IT; Oleg is also a DJ and has two startups already; Alex is certified marketer by CIM, worked as head of marketing in a company with more than 120 employees; Hristiyan has more than 7 years experience in programming. Our service gives precise and personal recommendations – we are focusing on the events discovery process. We are super flexible – our task is to work on the users experience all the time (and improve it).

Eventyard was chosen by Eleven startup accelerator and after that team members managed to validate the idea and to built platform properly. It’s in beta phase right now and they will continue to develop new features and add-ons. For example, they are developing a gamefication system: the users can complete different achievements, which give them many interesting advantages and unlock interesting functions on Eventyard. That’s one of the reasons for people to stay, interact and use the platform – they can now review and rate past events and give their solid opinion, become influencers about certain events and types of events. As Aleksandra says:

We want to bring the sense of joy and fun while browsing for events, sharing and discussing them with friends and meeting new people all the way. Users’ journey is what we are working on – to be able to discover things you might miss without having Eventyard!

Well, what do you think? Is there a place for a service like Eventyard in Europe (and beyond)?
