Erste Bank at OMGcommerce: We want to be the number one choice when it comes to online payment
One of the last presentations for the first day of OMGcommerce, was saved for Igor Strejcek from Erste Bank and Igor Sobota from Erste Card Club. Title of their presentation was rather catchy - "If your customer wants to pay, Erste will show them the way". Two of them, talked more about mobile payment services that Erste Bank is implementing in Croatia.

Igor started his speech with a story from a hotel he once visited. He wanted to make a payment with a credit card, but was hesitant to ask the receptionist at the time because technology was very new. He was later given the answer that any payment method will do as long as customer wants to pay!
Guided by that idea, Igor was focused on providing Erste’s users with the ability to make online payments anywhere, anytime. Problem which exist today is that similar solutions are very complicated and not well implemented. Igor asked himself the question if Erste can make it better? He was determined to create a service which is easy and convenient for the user, yet powerful enough and practical for the developer to implement into its web shop.
His colleague, Igor Sobota talked more about the different things users can do with Erste mobile payment. Becauseit’s banking system is working with most of Croatia’s payment gateways, users are worry-free when it comes to making purchases online and they are always sure that their payment will go through.
One of the key features Igor wanted this service to have is flexibility. He also wanted a high quality of support which comes through 24-7 customer support.

Igor also talked about the advantage of their system- Erste NetPay. As a client you don’t have to have anyadditional registration for the service. It’s really fast and reliable, and targets those users who are a bit insecure with online payments. After you’ve selected the desired item, you are transferred to your NetBanking service. Everything is pre-filled and it’s just couple of clicks away from the finalization of purchase. After that you’re being returned to the web shop and you can continue with your shopping!

Bilo bi super kad bi razni tehnološki napredni Igori iz hrvatskih banaka napravili servis koji bi omogućio hrvatskom web startup-u automatsko mjesečno naplaćivanje strancima u njihovoj valuti preko API-ja. Nešto što je vani normalna stvar 10 godina, ali dobro, i ova njihova mudrovanja su zaista korisna i zanimljiva.
