Second day of Spark.me conference was opened by Bal Balaji, self taught programmer and an entrepreneur who is currently residing in capitol of Serbia where he runs his own company called Bal Lab. Throughout the years, he has worked on a number of different products all over the world, products that demanded quick and effective alterations.
Balaji has specialized in fast product engineering and he is really passionate about building stuff. Prior to his entrepreneurial career he was an architect and that led him to discover the joy of making and building new things.
Bal also pointed out that startups usually tend to fail, some 80 or 90 percent of them just don’t know how to cope with the process of production. They make several small mistakes which can later cost them their business. In order to avoid these mistakes, Bal has pointed out three key things that startups should focus on.
A lot of people ask him what are his plans for when he and his team arrive at the company they’re suppose to improve. Bal stated that this process takes time and energy where every move is documented and carefully reviewed.
Second part is refereed to a platform of choice. Bal and his team are using Java and Php for the best, and most optimum results.
Balaji finished his presentation by saying that the team around you is the most important thing in the business. Look for the best people you can imply, not just the ones you can afford. Each and every ones of them has to be a leader and has to have a creative spark which will further kickstart the atmosphere inside the company.
