We heard a few interesting case studies. One of them was Sonus Art, a high profile audio and video shop from Croatia, which used the power of Twitter for rebranding, events, creating buzz and increasing sale. Nebojsa Ugljesic, their former marketing manager, said that they used Twitter because it is the fastest communication channel and it is also very well connected with other social media networks – everything they did on Twitter had an impact on other networks. In 18 months off constant communication on Twitter, TweetUPs and other activities they were profiled as the most famous audio and video shop in Zagreb, maybe even in the whole country, while the sales increased for 15 percent.
Mislav Galler, head of business sales at Vipnet talked about company's web shop at OMGcommerce which took place in Zagreb throughout March 21st to 22nd. Mislav focused on one particular feature which service offers it's subscribers - they've dramatically simplified the shopping process which is now possible using just three clicks.
Osijek's Inchoo, company specialized in Magento platform and one of the official partners of OMGcommerce, held three very informative and highly attended presentations during the two day conference about e-commerce which was held in Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia.
Branimir Karacic from Kolektiva, talked about affiliate marketing during his presentation on the second day of OMGcommerce which was held in Croatia's capitol, Zagreb. Affiliate marketing - marketing based on porformance, helped grow Kolektiva which is today one of the largest e-commerce in Balkans.
Yet again, Luigi opened his presentation with an interesting fact. During the 45 minute walk, more than 49 million gigabytes will be create! When we look at the number of the decisions which will be made using this data, only 6 percent of the companies will interpret it and actually make a use out of it.
Second day of the OMGcommerce has started, and the first one to take the stage was Luka Abrus, Five Minutes CEO. He talked about what ShoutEm is doing in the field of e-commerce, and he also presented some new products.
One of the last presentations for the first day of OMGcommerce, was saved for Igor Strejcek from Erste Bank and Igor Sobota from Erste Card Club. Title of their presentation was rather catchy - "If your customer wants to pay, Erste will show them the way". Two of them, talked more about mobile payment services that Erste Bank is implementing in Croatia.
Kolektiva, largest group buying website in Balkans presented their service to the audience at the OMGcommerce which is taking place in Zagreb's Double Tree Hotel. Anil Shrestha, marketing manager from Kolektiva Slovenia, talked about different ways to attract customers and make them loyal.
First day of OMGcommerce and we're almost half way through. The first panel discussion which was held, focused on innovation in e-business. One such innovation is the Erste Bank mobile application, through which users can photo scan receipts and pay the at the locatoin. This product was developed by Igor Strejcek from Erste Bank, Damir Sabol, founder of Iskon and PhotoPay and Tomislav Car, Infinum have worked on this project.
